Read More... | Hello from Midland newbie Posted On 08-03-2008 Hello fellow members. Just writing to let you know I have joined. I haven't had a chance to look over the site, but I am a member on michiganreefers and don't own a saltwater tank. I joined this forum to talk to locals about freshwater fish tanks. I have three tanks running atm, a 55g with and oscar, jack dempsey, blood parrot and albino chocolate pleco. I have a 29g with a blue gourami, a kissing gourami and a bristlenose pleco. My third running tank is a 15g with several convict and molly fry along with a BN pleco. This tank started as a QT tank, but a friend had a hatch of convicts and I couldn't pass up the chance to get me some, even if just for feeders. The molly fry were an unexpected delivery in the QT of some feeder mollys(they were on sale). I also have another 55g and 90g tank that are not running. The 90g has a substrate base, but no water or anything else, am planning on moving soon and don't want to get something started and then move it shortly after. I have no other pets, but am dedicated to my fish. I am trying my hand at live plants and high wattage tanks, my 29g with 3.6wpg and a DIY CO2 system is full of plants, that tank is my pride and joy and am currently working on getting the 55g full of plants as well, but it is tougher to get CO2 and good lighting on tanks that size, we'll just see.
